Photo (1861-1), signitures of Flint area men entering military service for Civil War. 5. Photo (1862-1), schedule for Flint & Pere Marquette R.R. in Dec. 1862. 6. Photo (1862-2), Corydon Foote as Civil War drummer boy in 1862 at age 14. 7 Photo (1862-3), Carlton House hotel, built in Fall of 1855 & opened Jan. 1, 1856 by J.Mason. Later was named Irving House which burned. Site was then used for Bryant Hotel 8. Photo (1862-5), Brockway Block containing Peoples Bank & William Smith & Co. The site was eventually the location of Smith-Bridgman Co. 9. Photo (1863-2), picture of Polly Todd, wife of John Todd who owned the 1st hotel or tavern in what became Flint. She was 1st white woman in the area. His business was later moved to Owosso. 10. Photo (1864-1), schedule for Flint & Holly R.R. in Nov. 1864. 11.
